She completed the Executive Secretary programme at Schoevers in 1996, after which she worked for three years as a department secretary (Economics advisory group) at BRO Consultants in Vught. At the end of 1999, Birgit moved to BANNING Attorneys, where she worked as a legal secretary for the Company Law practice group while continuing to pursue various legal coursework and training programmes. Within BANNING, she moved to the Marketing and Communication department in 2007.

Birgit began as a management assistant at LXA Attorneys in November 2017. At LXA The Law Firm, Birgit is part of the Commercial Contracts and Franchise team.
