Iris joined LXA Attorneys in 2018 and specialises in intellectual property law. She advises and litigates in areas including fashion, luxury goods, foodstuffs, consumer products, media and technology. Iris acts for multinational and national clients in various matters concerning trademark law, design law, copyright law, trade name law, domain names and advertising law.

Iris graduated cum laude from Utrecht University with a master’s Degree in private law with a specialisation in intellectual property law.

Iris’ recent work

• Advising and assisting clients in trade mark proceedings, including in relation to counterfeit goods;
• Advising and assisting clients in copyright and design law proceedings, including in the area of protection of product design;
• Assisting clients in cases before the self-regulatory Stichting Reclame Code;
• Assisting clients in proceedings at the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property and the European Union Intellectual Property Office in, inter alia, opposition and nullity proceedings;
• Assisting and advising on various agreements, such as licensing agreements, existence agreements and manufacturing agreements;
• Advising in the field of food law, more specifically in relation to misleading food labelling;
• Representing and hosting workshops on behalf of various clients at the national Customs Day
