Carel has registered the following principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calender year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
Carel was co-founder of LXA Attorneys in 2011 and is leading the LXA Corporate/M&A team. He studied law in Utrecht and passed the post-academic studies Financing & Securities. Carel was previously associated to HVG Law (EY) and Banning.
Carel was admitted to the bar in 1995 and has a strong focus on corporate and contract law ever since, in particular in the field of acquisitions, participations, joint ventures and financing, as well as real estate transactions, including real estate development.
Carel handled numerous corporate transactions (M&A, private equity and real estate deals) for investors, corporates, family offices and real estate developers. As seasoned dealmaker he has built a substantial track record of hundreds of transactions.
Carel is furthermore a true company law consultant and in that capacity the regular lawyer for many clients.
